Moderation bots fail in two directions: too rigid and they punish the wrong people, too loose and they do nothing. Rules also change weekly, so the team needed to adjust behaviour without asking a developer every time.
A rules engine the moderators configure themselves from a web panel, an audit trail for every automated action, and a ticket system that keeps its history where the next moderator can find it.
